全球主要手機商 2012 年統一充電器制式

好消息！多等三年，我們在外頭再不用為手機沒電又找不到合適充電器而煩惱了！

The GSMA and 17 leading mobile operators and manufacturers on 17 February 2009 announced that they are committed to implementing a cross-industry standard for a universal charger for new mobile phones. The aim of the initiative is to ensure that the mobile industry adopts a common format for mobile phone charger connections and energy-efficient chargers resulting in an estimated 50 per cent reduction in standby energy consumption, the potential elimination of up to 51,000 tonnes of duplicate chargers and the enhancement of the customer experience by simplifying the charging of mobile phones. The group has set an ambitious target that by 2012 a universal charging solution (UCS) will be widely available in the market worldwide and will use Micro-USB as the common universal charging interface.


相信很多手機用家都有這個煩惱——由於轉用過很多牌子的手機，結果家中放滿了一大堆不同牌子手機專用的充電器，丟掉嫌可惜，不丟掉又「阻地方」。不久將 來，大家終可省掉這個麻煩了。全球移動通信協會（GSMA）在 2 月 17 日 宣佈，業界打算統一充電器制式，17 家主要手機製造商和營運商，將逐步轉 向統一用「細頭 USB」插嘴，作為所有充電器接駁手機的標準。

率先加入這個「通用充電」解決方案的公司，包括諾基亞、三星、摩托羅拉、3 Group、LG、新力愛立信等 17 家。一早對充電器氾濫十分反感、曾向手機製造商們施壓的歐盟，亦對業界同意統一充電器的做法表示歡迎。

現時幾乎每間手機製造商都有獨自的充電器設計，甚至同一品牌的不同型號，亦會使用不同的充電器。GSMA 總裁康威（Rob Conway）直言：「我的櫃子裏就有幾十個充電器，我們的櫃子實在不能再這麼滿了。」他表示，協會的目標，就是在 2012 年時，在全球手機市場實現並推 行統一的通用充電解決方案，採用統一標準化的小型 USB 作為充電接口。GSMA 表示，統一措施將可減少廢棄充電器對環境的破壞，令通用充電器成為有助環保 的「綠色配件」，同時也令消費者為手機充電時，更為靈活方便。

統一手機充電器將節省 50% 能源、減少一半充電器產量，並將降低溫室氣 體（greenhouse gases）排放量 1360 萬公噸，降至 2180 萬公噸。
